You are required to select a subcategory for the Outstanding Achievement award.
  • The Academic Excellence award is presented annually to students whose passion for learning has extended beyond the classroom (demonstrated, for example, by excellence in research, internship or creative activity). Minimum GPA of 3.4.
  • The Outstanding Achievement award is presented annually to student accomplishments that relate to the life of the university and surrounding community. Minimum GPA of 2.75.
Senior Award (optional)
Please check the appropriate box below if you are also nominating this graduating senior for either of the following awards.
  • The William J. Sullivan award is presented annually by Stony Brook University in honor of Justice William J. Sullivan, late chairperson of the Stony Brook Council. The Sullivan Award is the most prestigious service award the university presents to a graduating senior. It represents the university's recognition of outstanding service contributions to the development of academic and student life on the campus.
  • The Distinguished Community Service award is presented annually by the Stony Brook Foundation to a graduating senior in recognition of outstanding contributions to the public service on Long Island.
